All you need to book online or email:

  • The name, prisoners’ number, and date of birth of the person you wish to visit.

You will be able to choose up to three possible dates for your visit.  The availability of the dates given will be checked and confirmed in an email.  You will be given a four digit reference number, you need to keep this in case you need to make alteration to your visit, as you can only make alterations if you have this number.

Local Bus / Train information
Local Train Station – Wolverhampton
Local Bus – 154 from Stand ‘D’ Wolverhampton Bus Station brings you to the road at the end of the prison estate. (The service runs every hour) Service Monday to Saturday only.

Community Transport
Operates only on a Saturday to Brinsford from New Street Station Birmingham and Wolverhampton Train Station, booking in advance is essential.

Yes, Available in the visitors’ centre the Support Staf have made many contacts including Housing, Employment, Drug and alcohol missue etc.

Baby Changing Facilities

Cafe

Visitors’ Centre Café opens at 12.30pm, selling freshly made sandwiches, Hot Jamaican style patties, Pot Noodles, hot and cold drinks, fruity pots a selection of crisps and confectionary.

The Visits Hall Café opens from 1.45pm till 3.15pm, selling freshly made sandwiches, hot S
samosas, hot Jamaican style patties, Pot Noodles, soups, cakes, a variety of crisps, hot and cold drinks, milk shakes and a selection of sweets and chocolate.

Children's Activities

We have a dedicated Children’s Worker in the centre weekdays and weekends. Providing a range of craft and activities for children of all ages.

Yes, information is on hand for new visitors, a member of staff will go through all relevant information with the visitor, including going on a visit for the first time, sending things through post, what to do if you have any concerns about the person in Brinsford, travel, booking etc.
