Visits booking line & how to book a visit

All you need to book online is:

  • The name and date of birth of the person you are visiting
  • The prison number

You will be able to choose up to 3 possible dates for your visit. They will check the availability and confirm your visit by email. You will then be sent a 4 digit reference number and booking confirmation. Please bring this along to the visit with you.

Local Bus / Train information
Local Train Station – Wolverhampton
Local Bus – 154 from Wolverhampton brings you to the end of the prison estate and runs every hour.

Community Transport
Operates Wednesday and Saturday from New Street Station Birmingham and Wolverhampton Train Station, booking in advance is essential.

Cost from Birmingham: £13 per adult & £6.50 for children 5- 15 years. (under 5s travel free)
Cost from Wolverhampton : £7 per adult & £3.50 for children 5.15 years. (Under 5s travel free)

Visitors’ Centre Café open from 12pm, selling freshly made sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and confectionary.

Visits Hall Café open 2pm – 3.30pm, selling freshly made sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit pots, burgers, pasties and samosas alongside drinks and confectionary.

Children's Activities

We have a Childrens Worker in the centre weekdays and weekends.

Providing a range of crafts and activities for children of all ages.

Although this can’t be classed as a dedicated help and advice line as during busy periods we don’t have time of facilitate this.
